www.malwarebytes.org/ works like a charm for almost everything reboot into safe mode with networking then go there and download it. download pagewww.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html |
| People that make computer viruses just for the sheer joy of fucking others over should just be charged criminally as vandals. It is the same as some asshole going around and putting water in the gas tanks of random cars. Will it hurt the car permanantly? Probably not. Would it suck? Yes. |

is this going to scan, find it than ask me for my credit card to get rid of it? |
Nope, it's free. |
no I wouldn't recommend it if it did. I use it daily on my students laptops. There is an option to buy if you want a version that scans on its own but this one works fine. |

Friend had this you probably need this info also. Once you have the virus deleted you will notice you are missing the Screensaver and Background Wallpaper TABS in Display Properties. This will prevent you from removing that annoying message or the modified Wallpaper. Here is how you get the TABS back to be able to get rid of the message or stupid Wallpaper: Manual Steps Using Windows XP Registry…….. be careful 1. Click Start and then Run. 2. Type regedit in the Run dialog box & Click OK. 3. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System 4. Right-click NoDispScrSavPage to select Modify. Change the value to 0. 5. Do exactly the same with the NoDispBackgroundPage entry 6. Go out of the Registry and Restart your Computer |

Let me guess, everytime you search for something in google it redirects you using the IP addy 64.111.196.117, or something like gogoogle.com, surfing is slow and sometimes a page wont load completely, links dont work , downloads dont finish complete, etc etc? This is what was going on with mine and after trying several other programs which didnt do shit malwarebytes hit a home run. People that do this kind of shit should be put up against a wall and shot! |
My parents got a virus like that recently. The computer worked normally and would go to the homepage. When you typed an address in the address bar, instead of going to that website, it went to a google search of that website's name. None of the google search links worked when you clicked on them. It would just bring up "Page Can Not Be Displayed". Their email would not work because the virus would block the send/receive. The funny thing is no matter what you set to the homepage you could see it when you opened IE. Then you couldn't get to any other sites. It was some kind of virus hidden as a google add in. |
+1 kinda like graffiti |
