Well Here is it...my first dinner picture...first the pictures, then the details:  and the closeup  Details: Duck breast with a balsamic, honey and thyme reduction served with a baked potato and arugula/mixed green salad with gorgonzola cheese, ginger gold apple, and walnuts. Served with a bottle of Chateau La Papeterie 2000. Colt Sporter Lightweight w/ A1 upper, Remington 870, Glock 19 w/ HST, Kershaw Unique Leek. To help mitigate the potential snobbery of duck breast and French wine, I took all pictures on the living room floor and ate the meal in my bed without a napkin.  Measuring device and stapler were intentionally omitted. |
 ....not a big beer snob but decided "Edmunt Fitzgerald" from Great Lakes Brewing Co. to be a good match as it's a porter.

Great looking dinner! Lightweight a1's are so plain vanilla but they sure shoot ,handle and ballance in a manner that has lead me to believe that the designers got it pretty much right the first time . Yeah I know that m4's are adapted to modern needs and uses but the 20" A1 is really a clasic . I could give a crap about staplers and other foolishness but a man has to have something to wipe his mouth and hands with. 9.5 (-.5 for lack of napkin) |
