I'm sure some on the other side will say that Gov. Palin comes from a small, inconsequential state. Id like to point out some of the stats for my state of Alaska and Sen. Biden's state of Delaware. Population: Alaska----670,000 48 out of 50 Delaware-853,400, 45 out of 50 Land Mass: Alaska----656,425 sq.mi. 1st Delaware-2489 sq.mi., 49th Shore Line: Alaska----6640 mi., 1st (more than all other states combined) Delaware-381mi., 21st International borders: Alaska----Russia, Canada Delaware-None I'll be adding more as i find them. Don't get too excited just yet. I was stationed in Alaska for three years. Alaska has about 1 woman for every 100 men. GREAT place to be a woman looking for a man. But, as far as being a guy looking for a woman, well, let's say that Alaska has no shortages in the "sexually frustrated males" department. But hey, at least the hunting and fishing is good. |

 Running that is not inconsequential, no matter how few people actually live there. The responsibilities and considerations for someone running that vast swath of territory, separated from the rest of the United States, and bordered by the 1st largest country in the world 50 miles west and the 2nd largest country in the world immediately east, does not even begin to compare to being a senator from this little plot of land nestled safely in between huge, populous, established states:  No offense to Delawareans, but your state doesn't compare. |
I assume that census info is including the Aleut and Eskimo native American population. That being the case, then when you take their villages into account I am sure it is correct. However, in the areas where caucasians were concentrated (Anchorage, for example), that was NOT the case, at least while I was there. A buddy of mine married an Aleut girl though. And I did sleep with one once. |
Funny fact the majority of the girls were my clients  I met & sold their #1 girl "Alexis" a beautiful new construction house back in 2004 & she introduced me to a lot of nice ladies & the house mom....my wife was thrilled that I was conducting business at the Bush  OK; back on track

Now, getting back on track please. Airports: Alaska---408 Delaware-11 Anchorage is a major hub for air freight. Anchorage International is No. 1 in the United States for landed weight of cargo aircraft and No. 3 in the world for cargo throughput. Im having a hard time finding solid data about this. I'll concede the point to you. My Alaska time was many years ago, and I was just a dumb ass, "no money having" G.I. at the time. We weren't exactly in high demand among the available ladies I guess. BTW: I have a female co-worker who is considering taking a job in Anchorage right now. She's single. Deep down inside I really think she wants to go there for the men! |
No customs or fees as long as the cargo stays on the bird. So lots of heavily loaded 747s come through here to top off. See them all the time in Eagle River as we are on one of the flight paths. |
