I have a new Sharp 32" Flatscreen hooked up in a room away from the Cable box.
The cable is split from the Cable box with a coaxial wire running into another room.
The picture is not nearly as clear as what the Cable box would produce.
Is there a product I can purchase to clarify the picture or will I have to get another Cable box?

The more your cable signal is split, the weaker it gets.  Do you know anything about your house's splitwork?  How many outlets?  How is it split?

What kind of cables do you have?  What kind of splitter?  How long is the cable?  How is the picture on the TV at the cable box after installing the splitter?

If your cable is split more times than the raw signal can handle, you may need a powered amplifier installed on the incoming line before your splitwork.

I have a 5 way splitter with 20 feet of cable coming into the room.

You're using a 5-way splitter after your cable box, or the five-way is off the main incoming line before the cable box, and the signal is split again after?

Just trying to get an idea of your configuration.

When you say cable box, do you mean a set-top tuner that is meant to service a single television, or is this something that is attached to the main service drop to the house?

Do you know what kind of cable your house is wired with?

Do you have a cable modem?

Although I have never used one you could try a signal amplifier.

Unfortunately, signal amplifiers amplify everything.
