Has anyone ever seen it? With Jodi Foster, mugged and beaten, killed in Central Park New York? What has the world gone to? I know this is just a movie, but things like this happen all over this country. I just pray if something like this ever happens to me that I am prepared to defend myself. If you show up for a fair fight, you are not prepared. How does someone's moral fiber get so fucked, that they think violence towards innocent people is a game? Society needs to take a stand, now more then ever. Americans must practice their rights, all of them, especially the second amendment. I apologize for the rant, needed to say something. That is all..... |

It was a pleasant shock for me to watch a movie like that where you would be VERY hard pressed to find any anti-gun message, but can find a few very pro-gun messages. Perhaps, the best part of the whole film is a point where she finds that in order to protect herself she has to apply for a license to purchase the pistol and wait months to purchase a handgun. |
It is a nice change of pace, that was an interesting part, Kahr makes an excellent gun |
That was kind of a direct jab at waiting periods.....I was pleasantly surprised... I knew the Asian guy was going to have something to sell to her.....I mean, he did have the classic IAmArmed vest on... |

I wonder if she knew what kind of movie she was making when it was being shot. Her politics (even those expressed in the extras) are way off from where this movie seems to go. One other thing that makes me think that is that she did very little promotion for the movie. Normally a star of her distinction is all over the TV promoting a film as big as "The Brave One" was. I kept waiting for the glaring anti-gun message and I didn't see it. I was pleasantly surprised. I was also surprised with the movie "Shooter" but I kind of expected that based on the source material. |

We just got that movie in the mail from Blockbuster 2 nights ago. I liked it. Kind of reminded me of those old Charles Bronson movies. As a pro-gun guy, of course I was not taken aback by the "gun violence". As for the vigilantism, in my heart of hearts I can't argue with that either. It's what I would want to do if it happened to any of my loved ones or me!! HOWEVER, there will be those that see it as a path to complete civil breakdown if "everyone took the law into their hands". (how's that for PC?) Oh, hell... Just shoot 'em all and let God sort 'em out!
