IT is really a very clever ploy. Application of direct pressure is a common 1st Aid action for any kind of bleeding wound... and note that it says "...until proper medical supervision can be accessed." Now just how long will THAT take, huh? Long enough to "change over," that's how long! And if there isn't anyone in your group experienced enough to recognize the signs of "changing over," they are |

If you got bit in the hand/lower arm, and chopped off your arm immediatly after the bite (assuming you had the medical equiptment to save your life) would you be able to survive? How quickly does the infection spread? As fast as the blood pumps through the body? ETA

You obviously missed the REPORT. |
In the little flyer, it just says burning destroyed zombies will spread the disease to other dead bodies (basically) that are capable of sustaining it, not that it will infect live people. |
Yeah, that's the way it happened in Return of the Living Dead. True. The live ones only got if from the gas. Still, it was spread to other corpses by burning/smoke/ash. |
