Sometimes people just snap. The father of a guy I went to high school with came home from work one day, walked in the door, drew a pistol, and shot his wife, killing her. He then took a shot at his youngest son, which missed, finally put the pistol in his mouth and blew his head off, leaving his son sitting there looking at his dead parents. There was no note, no pre-shooting conversation or argument, and since both parents were dead, nobody to ask what was going on. The guy was a senior NCO in the Army, nearing retirement. They lived in base housing. One son was already gone into the 101st at Ft. Campbell, the other was headed for college. Looked like a normal middle-class American life. |
![]() That's incredibly stupid.... and a good way to get your ass kicked or worse |

<let's please not discuss the order to kill people if/when we "snap">. That way the kids get a fresh start in a state institution that may be as about as safe and caring an environment as Maximum Security Lock-Up. The kids are totally hosed no matter what. I hope the wife ends up having to work double shifts at Denny's till she dies for fucking her family over, and the guy she was screwing should be gelded. |
Crime of passion only applies in the "heat of the moment". Once you leave the area of discovery any action is considered premeditated. Had a friend serve 4 years of a 9 year sentence for finding his wife in bed with another guy, leaving, coming back to his house, finding the locks changed, and shooting the lock off the door. |

I fucking HATE stories about adultery. Period. And I have ZERO sympathy for anyone who conducts themselves in such a way. No one wins. In the long run, a lot of people wind up getting hurt usually. Be an adult. Get out of relationship if you intend on dropping your drawers for someone else. Yes, I have gotten burned. It hurts to the core of your soul. Could I have gone an done the same thing out of hurt or spite, sure. And done what, fucked up someone elses life? No thanks. I have more class than that. |
Yep... saw that happen at a local business. The guy's supervisor was leaving on long lunchbreaks to bone the guy's wife. He came home for lunch one day and walked into the house to hear the noise of obvious intercourse in progress. He went upstairs and cracked the bedroom door to see his wife riding his boss. He was going to kill both of them (was armed with a shotgun), but thought the better of it and started back down the stairs... Until he heard his name mentioned, followed by laughter from both of them. That was more than he could take. He went back up, entered the room, and put a slug through both of them. DRT. Verdict? First degree murder. The jury ruled that the act of walking away and heading down the steps was sufficient to break the "heat of the moment" defense. |
We need to bring back high fidelity laws and arrest and punish adulterers. |
I'm not sure changing laws would serve to cure these vices. Laws fail as a deturrent. thompsondd I agree 100%. People need to take some pride in themselves. But now that i'm single, FTW!!! |
Yes, they did argue about him spending all their money in the poker machine before he came home from work. Like I said though, he wasn't in his right state of mind due to his wife's screwing around, and that only started the arguement that led to this. |
Sounds like a case of someone talking themselves into a life sentence. Never talk to the police. Let your attorney do the talking for you. ...and 2 is mine! |
NO!!! I don't want to legislate morality. I want LESS government in my life, not MORE. I just wish people still had some morals and character left. This self gratification, all about me centric world that we live in has screwed us. Bottom line, it is about WHO you are on the inside. Period. We don't recognize and value character and discipline in this world today. Our society idolizes people who are absolute VOIDS of character. They are our golden calves in this modern world. It's no wonder situations like this are common place now. And we tolerate it. |
