Fell asleep last night about 7 PM Pacific time, and wake up this am at about 4am.

Went to check internet and wala.. working fine! Untill about an hour ago that is, when it just cuts off. While watching the news and fixing breakfast, every 15 minutes or so I cycle the cable modem. After being off for 1/2 hour or so it comes online.

I have a new mail in my mailbox instructing me to change some config settings and my email has changed from [email protected]   to [email protected]

Seems to be working fine other than some DNS and routing problems. Did a speed check and the speed has most definatly increased.

So far so good...

OK, they finally got the news server up and running. Also, some new features such as web mail (ability to check your E mail from any internet connection, similar to Hotmail but your home address), up to 6 E mail addresses, and some other stuff.

My @home is working without any changes... Keeping fingers crossed because the family is sharing the connection through linux.

I got an email from Cox saying they're working on a solution, and have made a deal with NetZero for temporary dialup access if we get our cable interrupted.
