Is there any way to capture a frame from a DVD film and save it as a still? I can't seem to make it happen.

How do you want to grab it, PC w 2nd (RW-CD), or from a DVD player to VCR?

Or are you talking about importing it straight to your C-Drive?

I'm using a DVD in the 'puter's disk drive, Paul... I want to be able to save it to a file in hard-drive C, as you said, 1. I have tried the "print screen" and hitting "ctrl-v" in Paint, but it just gives me a blank pic once I remove the DVD. I'll fiddle with it a bit more; if I figure it out I'll post it here.

Thanks, guys, for the response.

What DVD Player software are you using?

PowerDVD has a little button that specifically captures the current frame.  Real easy. If you don't have PowerDVD (and don't feel like buying it [;)]) you can download the full retail version at Fosi's site -

Additional note on PowerDVD... to do a screen capture you have to turn OFF hardware acceleration!!
