No, not JBT story here, part of OC qualifications.
Got my face painted with Red Sabre today at work.
No fun at all - zero.
A good 7 hours later and my face still feels like I got a bad sunburn.
I do feel a lot better than I did originally though.

Isn't there some counter pepper spray stuff called "Freeze" or something? It's supposed to neutralize the burning real quick in case of the spray getting mistakenly sprayed your way.

You want to talk drama, some people lost their minds - cursing and yelling.
I just walked in a circle holding my eyes open so I would tear up and get that stuff out of my system.
The burning on my skin was no big deal - it was my eyes burning and not being able to see that was the hard part.

That's it? Her class had to negotiate minor obstacles and strike multiple guys wearing pads before running across a finish line. I'm looking forward to that.

Last time I went to watch a class getting sprayed, they had to groundfight for 2 minutes while the instructor filled the room via a fogger. That one really sucked.

I'll bite. How is fox labs OC different then other OC sprays?

I think most academies give you a dose. Not some faux or watered down spray.

We had to retain our weapons for a while.
That was easier than I expected, probably because when you are blinded you clamp that pistol down in your holster, and fight like hell.

From a cite to remain nameless

"Most pepper sprays are between 1/2 million and 2 million shu. Fox pepper spray is refined to 5.3 million shu, that's like the difference in heat between paper burning and a blue-hot blowtorch (about 451 degrees F vs 2000 degrees F.) However, because of its unique formulation it does not blister the skin. Public law enforcement agencies across the USA are using Fox pepper spray and Fox Labs Products. "

Wether this is true or not, I'm not going to be the judge.

Good point!

One of the things they are supposed to teach in these classes is not to refer to OC as Mace in your report.  Mace is a chemical agent and OC is an organic oil derived from peppers.

Mace is a long, heavy blunt instrument often used as a weapon during the midieval era. OC is a spray derived from peppers.

A lot of people panicked when they couldn't see.
It was pretty scary feeling all that pain and not being able to see what was going on.
You just have to calm down, breathe, and fight to get your eyes open.

Tasers are in a couple weeks.
They say that is painful, but in a far different way and there is zero recovery time.

Mace is a namebrand and is only around 5% OC I thought. I've been peppersprayed with 10% OC law enforcement stuff for training. It was one of the worst days of my life. I'll go through a CS gas chamber all day long - keep the OC

Smart ass!

I was just commenting on the use of the term "Mace".

I bet I would have a hell of lot people wanting to fight if I carried a Mace on duty.
