So, now she is blathering on about reigning in the futures market, which she believes is the cause of record gas prices....yet, wasn't she one of the Dems a month or so ago persecuting Oil Execs?

Go away old woman, take Nancy with you. I bet if they look, they can find a Murder She Wrote Convention to occupy their time in lieu of attempting to run a country.

Another aristocrat in populist clothing....

Her husband is Richard C. Bloom.  Who is he? (From Wiki)

Richard C. Blum is an investment banker and the husband of United States Senator from California Dianne Feinstein. He is the Chairman and President of Blum Capital Partners, L.P., an equity investment management firm that acts as general partner for various investment partnerships and provides investment advisory services.

She is utterly clueless.

The US oil market only comprises about 9 percent of the world's total market.   If suddenly
all of America and every American were to completely withdraw from the entire oil market
in every way,  it wouldn't affect the price of crude oil by more than a few percentage points.

I'm sure there is some speculating going on no doubt, I'm sure it is contributing but I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the environmental movement that empowers OPEC by disallowing domestic exploration and production.

Here is a clue for you, pig-woman.  Speculating equals investing!

The price of Berkshire Hathaway is too high, maybe we should reign in the speculating on that as well?

If played right, the recalcitrance to new drilling has the potential to become a HUGE albatross around the Democrats necks this November - IF the Republicans play it right.

Unfortunately, nothing I've seen lately makes me think they're going to play that card.

Because the 1960's and feminazism paved the way. Be patient, younger women are for the most part happy being women and don't wish to attempt being men.

She was right about the California energy "crisis" in the summer of 2000.  If then-Governor Gray Davis had listened to her, he might still be in office.

She advised Davis to allow the market to correct itself.  Davis ignored her and locked the state into multi-year contracts with energy producers, at very high prices.

By the end of that summer, people had started conserving on their own, and energy consumption was down.
