You guys got any ideas for good wasp bait?  I bought one of the yellowjacket traps, and it's not working too well.

i just spray them with WD-40. If they dont get close enough to reach with WD-40 i dont bother them cause they kill other bugs.

I'd do that....but I've got a few nests hiding around the house.  I'm also allergic....so the whole "fire and forget" thing helps.

Put a piece of hotdog in it.  Works like a charm.

Carp over a bucket filled full of water used to work pretty good-yellow jackets would eat so much meat they'd fall in and drown.

Is the attractant just soda?

I'm extremely allergic as well.  I just use the spray bottles that shoot a stream like 20ft.  They drop almost instantly.

I've knocked out a bunch of nests that way, and I've never been stung.

Well, i've bagged 1.  Also hung up a inverted 2L soda bottle....we'll see how each one does.

Havent tried this yet with my new bug zapper, but a fellow Team and club member said he baited his bug zapper with a piece of ham during daylight and zapped a boatload of yellow jackets.
