I found this page for the World Federalis Movement. I didn't even such an organization existed. They advocate a global approach to solving the world's problems, no doubt that includes taking my guns away!
Has anyone else ever heard of them?

sounds similiar to the World Constituition and Parliment Association. up until about two years ago i could find info on them. they must have changed their name. i ordered about $70 some dollars worth of pro-UN, pro-Environment, and pro-one world govt. propaganda from them for dispersion amongst friends who would be interested in it. i was tired of people looking at me funny when i told them there were organizations working towards a "new world order". so i gave the enemy my money and showed the nay-sayers a copy of the world constitution that these bloke's wanted all of us to live under. their constitution reeks of the UN. the WCPA had a lot of members who were tied to them. in 1995 they had about five million members. this is not really alot of people, but their membership consisted of people tied to polotics, medicine, and science. people who could have influence. if anybody is interested i will share any info about the WCPA that i have. the world constitution might still be somewhere online in an unclosed link.

to my knowledge their are currently at least three world constitutions. most supporting similiar things. only one of them had presented any sort of self-defense right. all supported a citizens right to a material possession that was provided by a world government. such as a home and job.

their job is quite a hard one though. does anybody think that any self-important third world country will want to join the evil capatalist super powers (not the britain and japan are one). like mexico? cuba? china?-only if they are in control, not us.

it will take some sort of major catastrophy for this sort of government to take place. (nuclear holocaust, WW3, biological holocaust, great world wide econimic depression, alien invasion [:D] etc..) however thier influence on global policies (particualarly the UN) should not be discounted. these oganizations need to be watched.

Scary stuff.  Do you like your Freedom of Speech?  Then oppose world government.  Do you like the Right to Keep and Bear Arms?  Then oppose world government.  Do you like being able to walk down the street or drive your car without jack-booted thugs asking for your "papaz" every 100 yards?  Then oppose world government.  Do you hate taxes?  THEN OPPOSE WORLD GOVERNMENT!

ANY American who is a member of or supports such an organization is a TRAITOR!  Plain and simple.  Anyone who belongs to such an organization or supports it's goals is an anti-constitutionalist.  It is amazing to me how many people are ignorant and/or unconcerned about this.  Personally, I think there should be protests in the streets over it...maybe I'll go start one...

In theory, a world government would be the 'logical' thing to acheive world peace.  In the fasion mentioned, I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

My opinion, you model a world government like the United States of America.  The consitution, the leadership (Judicial, Legelative and Executive).  Each country would still have their own control, as like state sovrengty(sp).  But each country would sent two reps and have reps based on population (granted China would be very strong in this).  Okay, that's enough........ I think most of you get what I'm hinting at.  (If a world govt was based on our way, we would like it.....a little self serving... why not.)

Well, I hate to admit it, but I think that national governments are just sort of window dressing these days anyhow.  The globalists are definitely succeeding.  There will be benefits to the new world order and definitely some very severe drawbacks.  But democratic republics where the public at large has a voice and "is the government" haven't existed for a long time.  Not when the choices for who we vote for are so similar.  Bush or Gore?  Didn't matter very much did it?  That's not say I'd rather see Gore be president, becuase I don't.  Just that I think Bush has some problematic conflicts of interest that he has to answer to.

In any fashion, I oppose it.  It will NEVER lead to world peace, unless suppression of opinions and rights are part of its charter.

War is bad, everyone agrees with that.  But, it is sometimes necessary.  There will always be people around the world who disagree on one issue or another.  In fact, there will always be people who disagree to the extent that they are willing to kill or die for their beliefs.  These kinds of disputes can not be settled by tribunal or any legislative body...without forceful suppression of opinions.

The world is populated with billions of people.  Many of which hold sensibilities and values totally alien to us.  My contention is that it is impossible to reach consensus based on that.  It is better just to live and let live, and deal with conflicts as they arise...one nation to another.  If force becomes necessary, then I hope that our nation has the strength to suppress its enemies.

Yea, they do it here too.  But, usually only on big drinking or high travel holidays.  The part about it that's bullshit is that the courts have actually upheld this kind of crap.  It is a clear violation of the Forth Amendment.  Just expect more of it when and if the one world government gets here.

Trick, you are right in comparing Gore and Bush.  But, there ARE other choices out there.  People just have to start actually voting for them!  I voted third party in 2000.

Everyone has ideas.  But as pointed out, someone will get the boot in any system.

Actually all of the World Government constitutions that i have seen support a right to free speech and religion.

under the WCPA's version you have the opportunity to live seperate from a world government. of course its pointeless sense the area available is something like 5%-10%. and you cant have any sort of military or produce arms. in essence you still live under a World Federated Earth Government.

There could never be such a thing as "world peace". unless you do one of three things.

1. force everyone to conform to the same beliefs either by brainwashing or physical threat. this is possible over time, but difficult to implement thanks to religious orders.

2. Just kill everybody, then that way they cant argue and fight with one another ever again. with nobody left around there could not be a world war 3 or terrorist activity.

3. Have everyone get doped up on pot [:D] this method is hampered by the DEA and religious orders.
