Also, want to point out that yes, even though I'm a female poster too, no I didn't post pics of myself and then "act" surprised that someone picked up the tab, my membership was paid for by. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . .. . .. . . . . . . . .......... wait for it ......... ............ .......... ......... me

don't hate, it just iratates me that there are women on this site who seem to think it's all about "look at me, look at me I'm a girl" with nothing else to really add, I'm not saying you shouldn't be proud to be a female, but to have post that specifically draw attention to it, " " Sexy Redhead Draw-down-- " "So what is the most annoying thing a girl can do?" or post pics of yourself in BOTD, (yes I KNOW these are not all topics that YOU specifcally posted) whether you realize it not you make ALL female posters look bad. You, whether wittingly or not, objectify women, encourage the "leg humpers" and make it more difficult for other female posters to be respected. this is in NO WAY meant to be taken as an angry post, more of an FYI. I'm sure it's wonderful to be the center of attention, have memberships purchased for you, have guys asking for your pics or for you to post in BOTD, it's just frustrating to see it happen and find yourself contributing in a thread and see male posters think its acceptable to request your pic or suggest you post in BOTD just because you're a woman. Can't blame them though, they get away with it from you so they try it with someone else. |
Well, quite honestly it was my boyfriends idea to call it "sexy redhead draw down". I thought it amusing. And Foxy just wanted to know the opinion of the masses about annoying girl tendancies. The answers were pretty hilarious if you ask me. We laughed a lot. I think you took that post a bit too seriously. It's ok to lighten up in GD. The pictures that we posted weren't bad at all, and in the MO hometown forum one of our buddies posted pictures of our 4th of July shoot out. (And yes, I'll be posting some too) I don't think I make female posters look bad at all, and niether does Foxy. Just because we post stuff that's generally amusing doesn't make us crappy posters. So what if my first post was "Sexy Redhead Draw down", No one believed i was a girl anyway until I posted a picture. I think you make yourself look irritable because your comments are always snide and laced with contempt. I'll admit that the attention is kind of cool, but was by no means the end result that I expected. And not all of my threads are "hey look boobies" either. that Werewolf Vampire debate was serious stuff. Sure I could post what you want. But I'm not posting for you, I'm posting for me. I could do a thread about, "which is better the snubnose .38 or the 1911 .45" (1911 all the way) but that's not what I want to post about. If you don't like the threads that Foxy and I post, we aren't forcing you to read them. And yeah, I was surprised that someone got me a membership, because they certainly didn't have to. And they still haven't revealed their identity either, so maybe-just maybe- someone else finds me at least slightly amusing too. Just because you're a "mom2sarah" (who is super cute by the way) Doesn't mean you're a mom to Afcom too. |
+1 Everyone bitches about how much they hate other peoples threads and then believe that voicing their opinion on this matter will cause it to stop if they say it in the rudest way possible, but we get called trolls because we get a lot of hits or replies?!?! And I can't count how many times I have been accused of posting things just to stir up trouble, or because I'm an attention whore, or whatever reason because I am a girl. I love guns, politics, watch the news every morning, post my own serious threads (even if sometimes they are dupes  ), AND I post in other peoples serious forums all the time but nobody seems to notice that... I love this website and try as you may, I'm not going anywhere. So keep whining and complaining about my posts because for some reason you obviously feel obligated to click on every thread we start. And if you and others still feel the urge to try and badger PrairiePhoenix, me, and any other new girl that takes an interest in this forum in attempts to scare us off, feel better about yourself, or any other reason, go for it because I know you will anyway!! But this is in no way and angry post, just an FYI

I agree. I hate that shit. I find that with any hobby or interest which is predominately a bunch of men, there will always be females that show up and make a big deal about their gender. Often they are 'whores' in more than one sense of the word, one type being 'attention.' And I just think to myself 'So? You have boobs. BFD.' Not to say I have any problem with respectable women joining in our interests, but try to be treated as a member of the sport, not a female member of the sport. ETA: I'm speaking in general, not about any particular poster in this thread. I actually do not know the OP...so...welcome to the site, and I hope you now realize I'm the resident asshole. |

Well you have to remember this most if not all teh members here fall into one of 4 categories.. 1. living at home in moms basement, and haven't had pussy since pussy had them. 2. recently divorced, living at home in moms basement 3. Too fat/nerdy/ugly to get a real live girl so has a realdoll in the closet, or a live time supply of hand lotion and Kleenex. 4. In Iraq in the .mil... Drive on boys drive on.. So if you remember this it put all things into perspective here. |
Great response, except you overlooked one thing: All the slack-jawed LLs , and the rest of us, will forever look at you as a female poster, especially after this thread (I believe I may have skipped you other threads ).
I don't think that can solely, or largely pointed at as dominated by the women. I can think of about 6 posters that seem to sleep, eat, shit, and be on afrcom as their sole existence. |
