So I'm taking classes at University of Phoenix and the first two courses are cake - they're intended to be easy. The assignment for today was to write a memo, a letter and an email according to the templates made available to us. Seeing as how no requirment was made as far as content, I figured I'd have some fun with the assignment. Guess we'll see how open minded the instructor is. The American Colonies Memorandum TO: King George FROM: The People DATE: July 4th, 1776 Subject: Termination of Employment We regret to inform you that your services are not longer required. The long train of abuses that has resulted in this decision are inexcusable and could have no other result. Please understand that we wish you the best of luck in expanding your empire and British rule. Further, we wish you now ill will. We can not, however continue our political relationship. Be it known therefore that we hereby completely dissolve all allegiance with The British Crown. 29 June, 2008 Democratic National Committee 430 S. With the hard work of people like you, a workers' paradise should be very near for the American people. I wholeheartedly support your efforts and look forward to a future free from such ridiculous encumbrances such as religious liberty or free speech. To that end, I have attached a PDF file containing the names of political dissidents who should be sent to re-education camps when your victory is complete. Should you require any assistance whatsoever, don't hesitate to contact me. With Utmost Respect, Karl Marx |
