GREER, S.C. -- Police said they found an arsenal of weapons inside a Greer man’s home after he pointed a gun at his neighbors. Police arrested William Delamar after they received a call about him pointing a .45 caliber handgun at his neighbors because they blocked his driveway. Police said when they went inside Delamar’s home they found several weapons including M-16s and a .50 caliber gun, all of which were military style weapons. Delamar told police he is federally licensed to collect the guns. “We’re working with the ATF to find out if they are automatic and if he can legally posses those weapons,” said Lt. Chris Varner of Greer police. Kenneth Foster, the neighbor who said Delamar pointed a gun at him, said he is worried now, especially since there are so many young children at his home. “There is something wrong with this guy,” said Foster. FOX Carolina went to Delamar’s home on Tuesday to get his side of the story, but there was no answer to a knock on his door. So far, Delamar is only charged with pointing and presenting a firearm. He was released on bond. |
Most everyday cops don't know shit about firearms. I had a cop tell me once, well after the expiration of the AWB, that "If a gun has a folding stock on it, its illegal and I will arrest them for it."

Military style weapons and children....OMG...save these poor helpless souls! Fucking media & their drama. |
I'll wait to reserve judgment on that. The story tells us nothing about what actually happened. rr |
hello? I said, firearms issues aside.. talking about the other neighbours disregard.

Soooooooooo, I'm getting from the overall tone of the article that waving a .45 at your neighbor is a bad thing? Is that what they're saying? Too many damn rules. "You can't shoot that guy." "You've got to drive on the right side." "You can't set fire to the Wal-Mart." Now they say you can't even wave a gun at somebody? What's next--no pistol-whipping the surly check-out guy at McDonald's? **The above is tongue-in-cheek humor. If you don't get it, just move along and keep your lips shut. |

Did he actually point a gun at his neighbors or did his neighbors (that have had a run-in with him over parking before) saw him Open Carrying a gun or heard-it-through-the-grapevine that he had guns so they called 911 and gave a false report? Innocent until proven guilty. Bitter attention-whore neighbors are notorious for lying. |

How much you want to bet it went like this: Guy needs to get out of his driveway, but can't because of asshat neighbors blocking it. (My guess is that it is not the first time, and he's had problems with them before.) Guy goes to confront neighbors, and ask them to move the car, while OCing a 1911 (or a .22 target pistol, the media doesn't know the difference, and .45 is more "scary", it's a wonder they didn't call it a .500 Smith, And Wesson Magnum, or there old standby an AK-47, or Uzi.), the asshat lib neighbor freaks out, wets there pant's and report that he was "waving his gun around". (How many OC People have had people do just that?) Or alternatively, the asshat Neighbors are just loitering around by there car (blocking his driveway), on HIS property, and he goes out to confront them pistol in hand, but to his side. Cops show up, and are lib dicks, and don't think anyone should be armed, and give him the JBT treatment, and ask him "do you have any other guns inside?", not wanting to lie he tells the truth, and the JBT's barge in, and confiscate his collection with no warrent, and no probable cause. |
I had a neighbor call the cops on me for firing shots off my deck the other night. I never did such a thing. My neighbor just doesn't like me and tried to have me arrested. Fuck people. |
Hey FACTS just take a .45 over there and wave it at them J/K are you allowed to shoot guns where you live ? We had 3 new families move to within a MILE of my place, I live out in the boonies and a Deputy that me and the neighbor guy knows stopped and told us one day that they had a complaint of ONE of the new neighbors being disturbed by people shooting guns at 2 PM and they wanted the Deputy to come out and tell these people to knock it of because they didn't want to be disturbed on the weekend (Sat.). The Deputy came out and told the people that it is perfectly LEGAL to shoot out in the country and there was NOTHING they could do to stop it The WEIRD part is that ALL 3 of the new neighbors put there houses us for sale at the same time, so we still can't figure out which neighbor it was that complained and the Deputy will not tell us which neighbor it was |
lol... we get visits from the SO from time to time because of complaints from neighbors adjacent to our USFS shooting area.. they hear firearms from time to time, but when we show up with FA, they freak out and the damn sheep think FA is illegal. SO has to do something because it was called in, they come out and are usually pretty good about it. I just wish they'd go to the sheep and tell 'em to bugger off, it's not illegal and we're legit in our choice of location too. |

I love these threads, so entertaining. Everbody jumps on the guy without knowing any real facts. We have one source of info, the media and their quote of a pants-pissing, inconsiderate jackass neighbor. Thats what I call gospel right there. Give me a break. The guy could have easily just been OC'ing on his property, BFD. |
This is entirely possible and very probable. Once you get out of Greer city limits it get's pretty rural. Snakes have been an issue here the last couple years due to the drought. It looks like from property records these folks may live on a small lake and moccasins are a very serious concern. When I go down to the lake to clear brush I always carry my pistol with a few snake shot rounds. |
You live in a crappy place then...I was talking to a cop today about another AWB, and he said the vast majority of police officers are pro gun, members of the NRA, etc, etc...but that the Police Chiefs are typically antis... |
| I think there is FAR more to this story then has been reported so far. I'm betting the "neighbor" and the "arsenal" guy have had run in's before especially when I read of "all the young kids that might be in harms way" line. That standard lib speak for "it's for the chilrun" so I take what is accused with a grain of salt. |
I agree, however "if" he did point a firearm over such a petty dispute then he has no business possessing firearms. |
True but walking outside with a firearm on your property is different then actually pointing it at someone. However, some people who SEE a gun think that it is the same as having it pointed at them, especially if there is a dispute between neighbors. Truth is, unless the guy admits to actually pointing it, it's 2 people's word against each other and the property owner will probably win. However that win might cost him some ammo fundage. If he walked over to the neighbors property with a firearm then he's a dumbass, plain and simple. |
Do you know if that offer still stands? I like money. |
Yeah, when they get done it WILL be full auto even if it wasn't before. Oh, and the accused will not have access to anything concerning the "tests" conducted.
|
There it is. |

In the video, they showed some pretty good images of the guns - assuming they were not images of some random guns and not the guns in question - There is a short bbl AR of some type a couple of AR's A G3/CETME/HK91 A Sten 2 1919's An M11 with a factory collapsable stock (the real shoulder thing that goes up). The final image of the video is the M11, and the selector is clearly visible. Obviously no telling what is what just from images, but the guy had a nice little collection. |
