First it was "Airplane on a Treadmill".

Then it was "Helicopter on a turn-table".

Now, it's an even more contentious matter....

Election's coming.  Is it possible to never turn on the home TV until it's all over?

I'm a few more asinine political ads away from giving it a shot

You're on a gun board.  You probably own at least one gun.  Go Elvis on your TV.

I haven't turned on a broadcast teevee in over 5 months, watch my stories on the internet box and get my news from the arfcom.

I'M MUCH HAPPIER NOW.

ETA: besides, the real question is could all the water disappear or not?

A while back I swore off all forms of formal news (TV, internet, etc. -- only whatever friends brought up was permissible).  In fact, I think it was something I gave up for lent.

Yeah...  I too was much happier when I got rid of that interference.  This might be worth trying again.

I change the channel whenever election reloated ads or newstories are on if watching tv.  For chrissakes elections 5 months away.  Polls are meaningless right now.
