Looking for some new and different music. I generally like all kinds of music, be it rock, classical, country, techno, yes even some hip-hop. Recently I got turned on to "Death Cab for Cutie" and "The Postal Service". Anyone have anything new and different?

Honestly, I'm open to anything. I'd never heard music like "Death Cab for Cutie", aside from maybe "The Shins". It was interesting. Just looking for anything I've never really heard. I know that's really vague.

Just listened to some of their stuff on iTunes. Some of their tracks remind me of "The Killers". I much enjoy "The Killers". I think I shall download some of these.

Try out Pandora.com type in a band you like and it will find music similar to what you asked for. I've found a lot of bands I had never heard of that are now favorites.

If you have been enjoying The Postal Service check out The Album Leaf (that's the 'bands' name, not an album name).

In another category is Monte Montgomery.

I find new music by checking out soundtracks to movies/TV that I like and then exploring the artists other works.
