I've had a laptop for a while and I just have it wired in at my desk but sometimes I like to lay on the couch and surf, etc. My friend got me a used wireless router from his work when they got a new system set up and I am wondering how to get it up and running. My friend tried one day but couldn't get it working I guess and I haven't had the time to mess with it so I figured I would just ask straight up how to do it. I guess my pc was reading there was the router but it was picking up the IP address of my laptop it was picking up my friend's old work IP or something like that. Anyone have simple instructions of what to do?? Thanks
