What is the proper way to dispose if CF bulbs?  Just had my first one go out and I know I'm not supposed to simply throw them in the trash.  Thanks.

Go to Earth911 website, enter what you want to recycle, and your zip code.  It will tell you if there is a recycling center nearby.

Also, I heard that Wal-Mart had done a pilot CFL recycling program in some states.  You may check if your local Wally World has any info.

look up online for the names of the reps who voted for this bullshit law, then box up the bulb and mail to one of their senate or congress offices! Problem solved.

So you essentially save about $8.00 over the lifetime of the bulb and then burn that in gas going to a recycling center.  Just dump it in the trash.

My first one burned out Friday when I came home from work

It's in the garbage recycle can right now
