| Anyone here self engineer a target that when you shoot it, it goes down for a second and then pops back up? I think it would be neat, and buying the factory made ones are EXPENSIVE. |
You could capture yourself a terrorist, give them a level 4 plate, and tell them to start running. eta: this would be great though. I really wish the pop-up targets weren't so damn expensive. |
| Get a steel plate to shoot, weld/bolt it to a heavier plate with a hinge connecting them. Put a hole in the shooting plate and tie a long (how ever much distance you want) string through it. I don't know how practical it would be, but that is what I have been thinking of doing. |

When I was younger, I went through a NRA class through 4-H that taught us some shooting skills on single shot bolt action .22LR's. For the more advanced students, there was a target that was basically a plywood box that was open on one side. Within the box were five metal targets, 4 across the top, 1 on the bottom. You would shoot each of the 4 targets on top, and then shoot the bottom one to reset the targets on top (some kind of metal catch/spring arrangement). Probably a little more complicated that you're looking for, but it's an idea. |

Plingers Here are some targets. If you have some metal working abilities you could do one of these easy IMO. |
Ahem, we're looking for cheap ones Mr. Fancypants |
