One of the local roads has been having speeding issues lately. I am *assuming* people have been complaining of people traveling too fast down their road because of a couple reasons; 1)Someone wrote (in paint/chalk) "30 MPH" in the middle of the road. 2)Increased cops running radar. 3)One of the Radar Traffic Signs that tells you your speed and what the speed limit is. I noticed on the way home someone half stuck a deer target (looked like a real one to me) between two trees to make it appear as if it is about to cross the road. I understand they're probably pissed at the amount of people speeding down their road, but something like that might cause an accident (especially it being on a backwoods road). Sorry, no pics/MSPAint. Maybe next time. |
And the road painting....black/gray paint is a good start.
Defacing public property, probably illegal. Not a legal road sign and obeying it or disobeying it means sqaut.

I hate being fooled myself. In Florida they had cops posed as work zone workers using radar guns. Pretty sneaky |

Bunch of HS football players did that in a town in NW OH a couple of years back. They put the deer decoy out in the road though. Guy driving along comes around the bend and wrecks to avoid it. Messed up the driver & passenger. Oh yes, the football players were sentenced to time but allowed out to play football. |
IMO good idea. I hate people that speed down my street(btw 25mph) I told a traffic(cycle) officer that our nieghborhood has a lot of speeders well they catch em bag em and tag em. I love it.
