Actaully, it's got to be 10 times better in the last 10-12 years since NASCAR went mainstream and became popular. It's being marketed as a "family event" anymore. There were times ( I rented a small house in the woods 1.5 miles from the track entrance for a few years) we would take turns sitting up with a 12 gauge so the drunks wouldn't steal our lawn furniture, firewood, dump garbage, try to camp out up our long wooded driveway, piss on the side of our house, break in, etc..... One of the reasons for moving away from the Poconos five years ago. It used to be pretty bad when they camped out in the "badlands" on the gas line right of way right outside the track. It's become downright respectable these days

Lighten up! Knew someone would get their knickers in a knot over that! Sorry I was being an agent provocateur...thought the skin would be thicker with the inclusion of FOREIGN cars in NASCAR. |

Its easy to be hated when you're the best. |
Yeah, Wally's World is just plain goofy. At least Larry McReynolds was brought over as a technical advisor. I needed somebody to explain to me how to change a quick-disconnect battery.

How old are you? Before Gordon came along Earnhardt Sr. was widely hated with a passion by many. |
Yup |
For sure. There used to be a shirt that said "Gentlemen, start your engines. You too, Dale!" It wasn't always hip to be a Dale Earnhardt fan. |
Screw that, at least on TNT their not messing with any real programming. If I wanted to watch cars drive in circles for hours on end I'd drive the half hour to the nearest roundabout and camp out with a lawn chair and a cooler of beer. I'd have the whole nascar experience. |
