We should boycot Craig´s List. I placed some holsters for sale on their site and they pulled it off. They sent me the following email: Partial list of items for sale and services the advertisement of which is not permitted on craigslist: Weapons and related items, including but not limited to firearms, disguised, undetectable or switchblade knives, martial arts weapons, scopes, silencers, ammunition, ammunition magazines, BB guns, tear gas or stun guns. I was a little irritated. So I replied; Fuck you and the Peoples Republic of California To which they replied; Is that the best you can do? How pitiful. LOL Do you not believe in following the rules of a privately owned posting board? So, after some thinking I sent them this: It goes beyond the rules of a private website. It is the political and social view points that support those types of rules that I am tired of listening to. A view shared by your site, e-bay, and others that are based in California. That gun owners comprise a small fringe element of society that can’t be trusted. That we are all just one step away from committing mass murder, so web sites like yours should not encourage this type of anti-social behavior. I know it is hard for you to comprehend, but there is far more to this country than the west coast, Chicago, and the New York-DC area, and we do not all share the same view points on many political issues. Something I’m sure you discovered during the last two presidential elections, and will probably see again this November. Besides, you should have more sympathy and cultural sensitivity for us in Middle America. Like Obama explained we get bitter in Middle America, we cling to guns or religion or antipathy towards people who aren't like us or anti-immigrant sentiment or antitrade sentiment as a way to explain our frustrations. I haven't herd back from them. I was hoping they would say something stupid, but I think they will just let it drop. This is crap. I'm tired of gun owners being excluded from sites like this. All I was selling were some leather Bianchi holsters.

I don't think they were expecting a well thought out second response, good show. while I understand its a private website and has a right to its own rules, fuck em, repost it again and again, their completly reliant on people hitting the report button, it'll sell before somebody reports it if you keep trying. |
lol just relist.. make the title something else and in the body of the ad descrbe what your selling amd it will come up via a search .. their site their rules.. aso list it here in the EE and it will show up in yopur hometown forum search also.. |
