While on the battlefield of the local Price Chopper, while blading at a 45 degree angle, a yellow cap peeked through the aisles and shone like a light from heaven at me.  My mind was screaming "DISENGAGE!  DISENGAGE!  DISENGAGE!" but my heart was telling me to follow the yellow cap road...

What is this?!  Doth mine eyes deceiveth me?!  It cannot be! I read the label and...

MASSIVE ADRENALINE DUMP!

The holy grail...the Mexican coke!  My victory was assured with a great reward...a swill of the nectar of the gods...victory was mine!

PS - I have secured a nice stockpile of the aforementioned beverage through 2 ways.  Number 1, my local Price Chopper has an ample supply.  Number 2, the Coke vendor at work is looking out for me and is seeing if my store can get a steady supply of the cane sugar coca cola

So the yellow cap indicates "real" coke with sugar? If that's the case I run across it more often than not. I get it for the wife as that is what brand she drinks. I on the other hand drink a real man's soft drink the Diet Pepsi. FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

Yellow cap is not Mexican, it is the kosher for Passover. But it is good either way.

Pretty certain that's the defining factor.  Check out the ingredient list - if it's says sucrose then you're good.

If you substitute beer for coke you'll be a lot healthier and happier.

For some reason I cannot stand the flavor of coke without whiskey in it any more.

Well well, you found Coke with sucrose, rather than high fructose corn syrup.  Where did you find it, you lucky bastard?

Oh, this is a dinner pic now?  Gimme a few.  I'll make it a hell of a dinner pic in that case

Price Chopper is a local grocery store.  They have a sizeable amount.  Like I said, if anyone wants some for real, IM me.  I'll give it to you at cost + shipping.

Actually jones just started selling a regular cola made with cane sugar, its fantastic. I found it at Sam's club about a week ago $9.95 a 12 pack of 12oz bottles. They have made all their sodas for he last couple of years with cane sugar but this is the first regular cola they have made with it.

Coke was originally made with sucrose, hence the "Real Coke" nickname.  They switched to high fructose corn syrup sometime.  Most people prefer the old taste with real cane sugar to the corn syrup taste.

Close to Topeka. They just got a Hyvee there and apparently Dillions are shitting themselves so they bought up all the price choppers in town to try and compete.

Rumor has it they switched to fructose when New Coke came out back in the 80's.  When the original Coke came back at Coca-Cola Classic it was made with fructose instead of sugar but noone complained because everyone was so happy to have the old Coke back.

Absolutely! MY dad bought me a case of the old fashioned tall glass bottles a couple of months ago that were imported from Mexico. I hadn't had Coke in a tall bottle since I was about 5 or 6. It bought back a lot of memories. It tastes so much better and it probably better for you then fructose corn syrup.
