I bought a SureFire 6P LED a few weeks ago.  The wife liked it a lot and decided she wanted it to have it her car.  ...  So I am in the market for a new flashlight.

The only criteria is that it is under $90 and has to be an LED.  I'm considering another 6P or Fenix TK10 but am open to suggestions.

People that will tell you 6P have never owned a TK10. People that tell you TK10 have a  6P, sitting in the closet.

Out of two, only one name, Surefire, Made is USA.
No money to the Chi-com, and no money to any Chi-Com owned company.

Get a Maglite.

What good is a flashlight if you can't whack someone on the head with it?

Another question that I forgot to include in the original post.  Some guys overs at candlepowerforums.com say they like the Fenix TK10 but would never use it in conjunction with a firearm because of the "clicky thing" used to turn the light on/off.  I have no idea what they are talking about.  What are they referring to and do you agree?

IF you can, get an Insight Typhoon, or if you can wait a while and want a more pocketable light get a Nitecore Defender. All three are really good lights, the ND takes an AA rather than CR123s and still gives off over 200 lumens.

i've got two streamlight stingers, one for work, one for the truck.  With 125 lumens, 15,000 candlepower, and rechargable batteries, you can't go wrong for $100.

Does anyone know for a fact that SF parts are made in China or is that just someone talking out their ass?

Deal extreme

I just fished one of their single AA battery Cree lights ($8) out of the bottom of my saltwater pool after 2 weeks (kid tossed it in)

Worked fine.

For the wife's purse... perfect.

Surefire lamp assemblies are made in Mexico. The body assemblies are made in Fountain Valley California. I took a tour of the plant a couple years ago.

Fenix lights are nice for the price, but their tail caps suck. Mushy and too easy to turn on in a pocket.
