How many of you actually cook their food in the microwave? I myself don’t even like to warm food up in a microwave. I think it makes the food taste different, at least I could taste a difference. Can anyone else taste the difference or is it just me?

IMHO microwaves are good for popcorn and warming soup.

+1 I don't think I've ever had anything good come out of the microwave that was completely cooked in there, just OK.  Good for leftovers/frozen veggies/salsa con queso/defrosting in general but that's it.

It's very good at steaming veggies.  I also use it to melt cheese and butter, heat liquids, and warm leftovers (but not fried foods).  It's also good for warming up flour tortillas.

I will also use it to jump-start meat defrosting if I'm in a hurry.  Ground meat and chicken.  Never steaks.

The microwave kept me alive during my single years. That and double cheese burgers from Mcdonalds.

Microwave is fine for heating things up and microwave specific meals.  Actually cooking something in a microwave usually does not turn out too well.

My Aunt always cooks pies and etc. in the Microwave, I can't stand the taste that it gives off.
