Ok, I hate to ask a question about such an homo topic, but I'm at a total loss. 80gig, Ipod video, about 2 years old. The battery won't charge unless I hook it up to the ipod charger in my VW (plugs into cd changer plug on backside of Kenwood head unit) It won't charge from any other source!!! If I plug it into the computer, any computer, with any number of cables, it will connect, and I can transfer info. But, after its done syncing, it drains the battery to zero in approximately 30 min. After this happens, it will say "battery low, please wait" and will never charge. I can use an AC wall adapter (I have tried a few) and it will not charge. It will simply go to the the apple symbol screen, then reboot.....over and over and over and over. If I leave it plugged into the car charger in my new car, nothing happens, it just wont charge (I have tried multiple cars, and multiple chargers) Now, I seriously doubt it is the battery, because after it charges, it will run for a very long time (over 20 hours) and it is also updated to the latest version. I doubt that it is a problem with any of the chargers, as my wife's Ipod will charge from all the above sources. Any Ideas? So, either there is some sort of correctable problem that I am over looking, or my VW has magic, and can probably cure AIDS too. Here's the rub..............I just sold my VW the other day.
