Post your favorites. This guy was great. I like this one, of his newer things: My Shit's Fucked up. My WILL says that the following will be played at my funeral. Keep me in your Heart for a While In terms of classics, someone else will post Roland, but I'll commend to you the delicious: Muhammad's Radio and Carmelita and, lets not forget Frank & Jesse James Zevon was an ARFCOMMER at heart, he used to go shooting with Hunter S. Thompson. One of Warren Zevon's album covers was the very first "dinner pic." ![]() |

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxBHpYlDOfw Splendid Isolation is one of my favorites. |

Two of my favorites Lawyers, Guns, and Money and from his last Letterman appearance Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner |
![]() Roland... Was gonna find Accidentally Like a Martyr but not having much success. Maybe we can get Subnet to play a little. |

I can't believe no one's mentioned this one yet. Renegade "Some prayers never reach the sky Some wounds never heal They still say someday the South will rise Man, I want to see that deal I don't want to grow old gracefully I don't want to go 'til it's too late I'll be some old man in the road somewhere Kneeling down in the dust by the side of the Interstate..." |
That gun's name was "Willy" and that picture is titled "Willy on a plate". |
Well, he did forget the cutting utensil and measuring device. |
|
Werewolves of London As odd as this song is, it's gotta be one of my favorites. |
+1 Two of my all time favorite Zevons. Accidentally Like a Martyr is in the Top 3. Roland searched the Continent, For the man who done him in. He found him in Mombassa, In a barroom drinking gin. Roland aimed his Thompson gun. He didn't say a word. But he VanOwen's body, From there to Johanesburg. |
Mine specifies Don't Let Us Get Sick. Zevon was IMHO the greatest singer/songwriter of our lifetimes. Even my wife likes Roland, and she only listens to contemporary Christian music. |

jenny needs a shooter gorilla you're a desperado boom boom mancini play it all night long (sweet home alabam play that dead mans song) envoy knockin on heavens door in the early years he wrote & played C&W one of his break throughs was writing some stuff for the eagles, linda ronsdtat and i think jackson brown the largets venue we watched him at was 200 people. while roland, werewolves are good songs they were over played. anyone who is asked about his music can only pull those 2 out of their heads. there was more to him then top 40 fm playlist. his music was pegged as Anachrist Rock in the 70-80's most people don't now some of his lyrics came about via his bouts or addiction & depression. like he said on letterman. had he known he was going to die he would have taken better care of himself, and seen a doctor earlier in life. |
Thanks! I was looking for a large size! |
