Who makes a good dress shirt?  I have been buying JC Penney's Stafford Executive shirts and they have discontinued them.  I also noticed they deteriorate relatively quickly.  Anyway, I'm looking for a shirt that looks good, irons easily and will last at least a year.  Any suggestions?

I have had good luck with Brooks Brothers and the Izod line.

Joseph A. Banks "Traveller" shirts stand up well.

Honestly, I've been considering Brooks Brothers.  There is a factory outlet near my house.

You can't go wrong with the pony. It's the international business uniform.

Most BB shirts are 3 for $199...I live in these...they are nice  comfortable everyday shirts that wear well...some are the nicer fabrics and are a bit more...all fine shirts though...

If you do go with Brooks make sure you get the correct fit...I wear the slim fits(6ft,180lbs)...and they aren't really slim...

Lands End has a nice line of shirts at a reasonable price. They have sales several times a year and you can stock up once you're locked in for the sizes and styles.

Lands end has a lifetime warranty. I have returned countless shirts after the cleaners finally wore holes in the shirts. $29 and up for the pinpoint oxfords.

To save money on cleaning, I have tried the Nordstrom shirts. They are pricey $50 and up.

Major plus one on the Travellers.

The time and expense saved because you can take them straight from the drier (slightly damp) and they look freshly ironed instead of ironing or going to the dry cleaners more than makes up for the extra cost.
