My fiance who I have been with for over four years handled and shot guns for the first time today. She would never hold a gun before this to the point where she would ask me to move ones in the house if they were in the way. She supported my right to own them and admitted she sometimes likes when I CC but would never shoot one herself. I have posted cries for help on here for a couple years trying to get her to shoot to no avail. But this weekend I jokingly asked her if she would and she agreed. Over two days she shot a 10/22 with a red-dot in a ramline sotck, a P22, and my RRA CAR-A4 in that order. The AR was a little loud for her(yes we wore ear-pro). It was a success overall and I think there is a possibility to get her into it. Sorry no pics she doesn't want prospective employers to see them as she works in a liberally dominated field. |

Good start Don't push her too much to go along or you could make it less than fun . Try to take her when it isn't too cold, hot, dusty,or whatever. New shooters can be very sensitive to noise,I like electronic muffs over plugs. gives great protection but alows her to hear safety commands |

Congratulations. Remember, we can change the world and secure our gun rights forever by changing ONE person at a time, and a lot of political activism begins right at home. I have a sister in law who (when I first met her) was vehement in her hatred of guns and her belief that they should be banned. I have been working on her, slowly but surely, for several years. While she will never be a gun enthusiast herself, I believe I am having some success in moderating her views, which gives me a good feeling considering that she (like me) has a habit of going into voting booths once every few years. We keep working, quietly and diligently, in all of our daily lives, and someday we will have defeated the ocean of anti-gun and anti-freedom propaganda and lies spewed by the media. |
exactly! I believe women are the key. Women being able to defend themselves is the selling point that I try to use. they make up %50 of the population that is largely unexposed to guns. |
