I am changing out some parts on my maglites(bulbs, lenses, O-rings and a switch cover(rubber button). How do I get the new rubber button back in the slot? My old button dissapeared one night never to be seen again. Help? ETA, you have to be smarter than what you are working on.

I'm trying that right now. It looks like it goes under the tube but on top of the actual switch. There is very little room between the plastic switch and the tube. |

The cover removes and installs from the outside of the tube. You need something like an icepick point or jewelers' screwdriver to use as a pry bar and poking tool. It helps if the grooved rim of the cover is lubed with a little silicone grease. Maglite switch assembly  |
