Had some for Lunch today at Fridays, they are a new item on the menu. Anybody else like Fish Tacos? |
|
They're great. Had 'em restaurants a few times, including one little tiny hole in the wall place that had the best I've had. We made some at home recently. We're still sorting out the sauce, though what we made wasn't bad. Funny thing is, mention fish tacos to most people and they think you're talking dirty . . . You know what else is really good? Sweet and sour fish at the Chinese place . . . |
That looks (and probably smells) like someone else already ate it.z |
every time we visit my daughter in woodland hills I have to go to Dukes in Malibu. I love sitting on the outdoor patio doing the fish taco thing. |
Wife says yup. He fishes/works off of the Gentleman out of Ciscos |
You leave your damn kalifornia mexican food tastes out of this thread! ![]() But seriously, fish tacos are good and I imagine that the ones prepared on the left coast are excellent. Prison food, sheesh.

I used to live a few blocks from the Brig on Shelter Island, yes they did good fish facos, couple of those and an order of calamari and several BrigBrews YEAH!! We've been making fish tacos for 30+ years, gotta use beer batter, shredded cabbage and the white sauce is 1/2 mayo and 1/2 plain yogurt. |
I was just telling a guy at work today about making some fish tacos using crappie or sand bass, I guess they're supposed to start bitting soon in the creeks flowing into Ray Hubbard. |
+1 My wife is from Sonora and makes very good taco fish. |
Small world, we chartered that boat last year for a White Sea Bass trip. Had a blast. |
