A local shop has a dillon shotshell reloader that they've had on display for awhile, and have slowly taken small parts off of for customers that needed a part for one right away. The question is, if i buy this press, because they'll sell me it for 400 bucks. I've heard i can send it to dillon, and they'll refurbish it. Is this true? Also, weird question, looking for some paper hulled shotshells for my 1926 Auto-5 To have some period ammo. Where can i find new paper hulled shotshells? |
Im not sure of the parts missing, and neither are they. Id have to study the schematic on it. |
That's what you meant. Seriously, Dillon does EXACTLY what CavTex is saying. This board has several posts to that effect: guys who buy a Dillon on,say, Ebay, send it in for a quote, and they return it with all the missing parts! +1000 on Dillon! |

Buy it. I bought a .45 ACP conversion kit for my 650 off ebay that happened to be missing the locater buttons. I called Dillon and told them the kit was used and I needed the locater buttons. They sent them to me free of charge, and didn't even give me an opportunity to pay for them. Buy it. |
| I bought a Dillon SDB press that was second hand. Of the thing I called about the replaced for free. They aint stupid. I think I ended up spending as much on other things as the press cost. RCBS is basically the same way. Free replacement parts on a set up that I've used for 30 years. Shame more companies can't learn from their customer service policies. |
No linkie that I know of. The robbery took place over 10 years ago IRC, maybe 15. |
