SHOULD the owner of a pellet gun face charges after two youths broke into his garage and accidentally fired the weapon, leaving one of them dead? Yes, according to the parents of the 17-year-old now accused of criminal negligence causing death. "He should have never left that gun there," the boy's mother told the Free Press on Monday. "He must know kids break into garages all the time." http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/story/4136138p-4728334c.html |
WTF? So now we've reached the point in all this "for the children" bullshit where we've got to make sure there are no dangerous objects in our garages so kids who "break in all the time" can't hurt themselves? Fuck that. People need to control their goddam junior criminals or pay the fucking price. This shit just pisses me off so bad I can hardly see fucking straight. If I had gotten caught breaking into someone's garage my old man would have beat me bloody, let me heal up and then done it again. What the fuck is the matter with parents anymore. |

Sounds like the cases where kids scale a 6 ft privacy fence (trespass) to swim in your pool, without permission, while you are away, drown, and parent's sue you.... The way things should be: Trespass, burglarize, get hurt/killed, =Tough shit. Unfortunately, holding criminals responsible for their actions and the outcome is not commonplace anymore..... |
sad.....I tend toward the optimistic side of things, but sometimes I really fear we are doomed
