Went home halfway through Tuesday from work with a fever, had one for about 24 hours (peaked at 102.3* or so). By Wed. night I was feeling good enough to go back to work, so I did on Thursday (mainly just a bad cold at that point). Woke up this morning, feeling kind of shitty again... took my temp and I'm running @ 100.5-100.8* Is that technically a fever or just a slightly elevated body temp? I don't want to make anyone else at work catch it, because I'm fairly certain I got sick due to the 3-4 people sick around me at work for the past 2 weeks. |
Dead in 3 hours.

From: The Wiki When a patient has or is suspected of having a fever, that person's body temperature is measured using a thermometer. At a first glance, fever is present if: temperature in the anus (rectum/rectal) or in the ear (otic) is at or over 38.0°C (100.4°F) temperature in the mouth (oral) is at or over 37.5°C (99.5°F) temperature under the arm (axillary) is at or over 37.2°C (99.0°F) So, if that is a rectal temp, your just barely in the fever zone. |
