It's just that.... To me, to be the President, you must at a minimum be Presidential. If we totally negate the need for actual qualifications and experience - which we have - you must at a minimum be able to present yourself to the world and its' leaders as the most important political figure in the world and a representative of the people of the United States. I'm probably expecting too much out of people when I expect them not to confuse "Presidential" with "charismatic." I know plenty of charismatic people who I wouldn't want to run the the local animal shelter much less the country. I've pretty much stayed out of the political threads up until I started this one. My thoughts are that when all you have are shitty choices, it is a foregone conclusion that shitty decisions will be made. The point of this thread is that sometimes, a Giant Douche is more palatable than a Turd Sandwich. Please consider this reason before you do something assinine in a voting booth in November. |

How many pictures of troops have you seen dressed in Muslim garb and traditional head dresses? Is it who he is with??? I mean really.....if this is the best the republican party can come up with then we are DOOMED to fail this election. Newt Gingrich had it right on Hannnity the other day, the republicans need to wake up and starting finding something worth bitching about instead of this piddly crap. Believe me I am one of the most un-politically correct people you will ever meet. But I am no so ignorant to think that just becasue someone is wearing a particular style of clothing at an event, where everyone else is wearing the exact same thing, it means anything. Yes, you are right Sir, his history IS important but even that isn't so important. Show me a man that says he hasn't made any mistakes and I will show you a liar. What IS important and what the republicans SHOULD be jumping up and down about is the fact that he has NO plan for this change he is calling for. That he will not stand up and say what he does beleive in, what his values are. I wish they would quit with the elementary playground politics and focus on that. Change without a plan is DOOMED to failure. This election is full of FAIL by everyone! |
