Didn't always agree with the guy but he was a total kickass reporter and loved to mess with the political might of the higher up wonks. Where has all the guys like him gone in the reporting world?

They are too busy sucking up to the Democrats in power.
We had Pete Waldmeir here in Detroit. He was our Mike Royko.

Mike was a democrat but far more old school then what is allegedly called a democrat today. He LOVED to stir the hornets nest and I always enjoyed his "Slats Grobnek" commentaries.
