Any one know where the cheapest 9mm FMJ is? I need 3K rounds for a school in Kansas (there are 3 of us) also is wolf 9mm as bad as people say? I'm using an M9/92F and Ive never used wolf pistol ammo before. Vin |
Who manufactures the Wolf 9mm? It's made in Russia, but by which manufacturer? Barnaul? I've used a lot of Barnaul and Prvi Partizan with no ill effects. Generally, those that bash the less expensive steel cased ammunition are simply repeating things they've heard on the internet and can offer no personal experience to back it up. |
| Only worry I'd have with steel cased ammo is if I were shooting it in a aluminum framed gun. Particularly one with an aluminum feed ramp. If you got a jam with the case mouth digging into the ramp, itmight damage it more than a softer brass case would. Chances of that happening are very rare, but you never know. If it's an all steel gun, or one with a steel ramp, I wouldn't hesitate to use it. |
I've been pretty happy with S&B. Brass, inexpensive, and not lightly loaded like wolf. |
"I'da know...when I was a SELE and assigned as a screen door gunner on the space shuttle, I saw that stuff just bounce right off of windshields all the time. One guy emptied an entire clip of the stuff against an Iraqi and the feller just kept comin' at him... and then cut his head off with a rusty butcher knife while he was trying to reload but the laquer on the cases gummed his pistol up somthing fierce..."
