There's at least one Jericho thread going but it's pretty much up to speed with the current episodes... I figure one for the people just starting to watch the show and didn't want the spoilers of the current stuff getting in the mix would be nice. I just started watching it since they're re-airing the episodes on SciFi Channel. I'm not sure if anyone else is just getting into it... if so... I think they're about four episodes into it on SciFi. People that have already seen everything up until the new stuff... please don't post in here and ruin it for us Jericho-noobs. - I'm trying to figure out what the black guy, Hawkins, deal is. He knows a lot but he seems kinda nutty around his family. - I read the trivia on IMDb... I guess each opening Jericho with the Morse code spells something out that's supposed to be a hint for each episode. If anyone wants to know where to find what each one is go here.. Spoiler warning though... it's an episode list so if you read beyond what you have seen, well you know what'll happen. - Surprisingly there are no factual error on IMDb or Wikipedia... I'm not sure how accurately they are depicting everything related to the whole nuke radiation thing. Modes of Decay. Alpha, Beta, and Gamma contamination tend to be the biggest concerns. They don't seem to address the individual types separately as far as I've seen, and I'm not entirely sure it's really important to the telling of the story. Civil Defense Geiger Counters for anyone interested. Not sure which ones they've been using. |
Yeah... I haven't been 100% sold on it... I guess because the reality of it seems to be taking a while to set it with these people. I mean, they're a couple days into TEOTWAWKI and they're just hanging out in a bar and having parties at mommy and daddy's house. You have a woman still running a grocery store and charging for shit... I guess after being around this forum for so long I just expect the people in charge of an entire town to know how to set things in motion like rationing food and fuel for starters. Planning more for long-term survival than day by day. Everyone just seems to be going about things as if they're more or less normal... Seems like people were shaken longer by 9/11 than these people are by the entire country getting nuked. But I'm figuring it's not going to be much longer into the show before it gains a little more momentum. |

So far I think the two people on this show I hope get punched in the face are the bitch that owns the grocery store and the IRS bitch. Both are completely oblivious to the fact tha the national infrastructure has probably collapsed and that greenback currency probably has very little value. Not to mention the IRS is probably a pile of dust... anywho... back to the show... watching it on Sci-Fi now. |
