we may be getting this in illinois"were fighting it hard" my question is "cali" has this right? how has it affected them ? thanks in advance |
|
There are a lot of good folks in CA who need all the support they can get... while it may be a difficult fight, winning a battle there would be a significant victory for gun owners in the rest of the country as well. |
I don't understand the Ronnie Barrett comment and I see it often. Isn't Ronnie Barrett the guy who came up with the .416 cartridge and rifle(s) so that he can sell to California? |
Yes, but he REFUSES to provide service or sell to ANY CA govt. agency. |
"Barrett cannot legally sell any of its products to lawbreakers. Therefore, since California's passing of AB50, the state is not in compliance with the US Constitution's 2nd and 14th Amendments, and we will not sell nor service any of our products to any government agency of the State of California." FULL TEXT HERE |
| Right, so in context it's just the government agencies that he doesn't sell to, that's fine and I understand some of that thinking but the employees of the government agencies are just a small part of the voting population as are the citizens who would own a .50. I don't see how penalizing them is going to affect change in the whacked out politicians out there. |
This is the effort bythe antti's for all States. Thanks for your support on the battle line in California. By you saying that, you justify there actions, Thanks |
California is already lost. If the manufacturers show that they're willing to get on their knees for California's sake, the rest of the "free" states will fall. This can be fought, but not in California. |
Cali will have "microstamping" where a serial number is stamped into the case of the bullet when fired from a semi-auto handgun. This is different then the whole "ammo comes pre-serialized and gets linked to you at sale" idea. I love stupid laws that have easy work-around... 1. File down firing pin and side of breach, no more serial number! 2. Pick up your brass at crime scene! 3. Go to firing range... pick up spent pistol brass that other's guns have marked. Drop at crime scene. Now some random guy has to prove he wasn't there! |
