You're in Alaska? I'd check the hometown forum. IIRC, open carry is perfectly legal.

I'm not sure about the CCW permit, but I think it's pretty easy to get there. Good luck!

In the enlightened state of Alaska there are no CCW permits required. Anyone legally able to possess a gun may carry it open or concealed without the state's permission.

This should be nation wide.

So far that makes two states, Vermont and Alaska. Let's go for the other 48 and DC.

Yes, it is nice to live in a "free" state, thank you. Along with no income tax or property tax it is the best state to live in, but don't tell anybody. It's too cold for humans, but other than that, it's perfect.
