If you needed warranty service on a firearm purchased before the 1994 AWB could you still get warranty service on parts that were a part of the features determined as "evil" by the AWB while it was still law?

Thanks.

yes

For one, that law is no longer a law, so any legal status that an AW had no longer stands (in most states)

further, replacement parts were always available anyway. the AWB didnt ban the parts, it banned guns that had a specific number of those evil features, so one feature alone (like a flash supressor, or a pistol grip, just not both together) was not prohibited.

I think so, as far as the law was concerned.  That's where that whole term "pre-ban" comes into it.  Though some companies may not have been willing to work on "pre-bans" because of the potential for legal trouble.

Yes as long as the weapon was pre 94.

Cool. Thanks folks.

So I guess I could still get warranty work on a Bushmaster ACR or SCAR provided a new AWB was similiar.

Depends on the company's policy.  There's no telling wether or not they'd be willing to work on a pre-ban during a ban.    You would have to ask that company.
