Any word on when Jack is coming back to, again, save America from
evildoers?

"24" website is a tad vague. It says "2008".

The poll, however, shows Chloe is the supporting character most folks would like to see back for the season

Nothing official yet from what I've seen due to the writers strike.

Fox always runs it straight through with no gaps.

Since they stopped production after 7-8 episodes I think, it could be a while.

There are rumors of the writers strike ending in the next two weeks or so and if that happens some of the networks have been talking about running their shows through the summer. Which Fox may or may not do with 24.

Writers strike....wtf.....

Get some new writers!  They're WRITERS....not brain surgeons or astronauts.

Surely there's a pool of imaginative script writers looking for work.  Hell I'll do it, just give me a transcriber to write down my thoughts as I pace the room.

I'm sure there might be a few out there that would be "scabs", but they won't be worth a damn. As any good writer wouldn't do it because they would essentially be "blacklisted" by the WGA after the strike ends.

The ones by Marc Cerasini are good.  The others, not so much.

I'll have to remember that. Need to stock up on paperbacks for this next rotation.

They're ok..The writers are not gun people,so some of the gun stuff I have to roll my eyes at, but the stories are decent..

Stupid writers strike is killing 24! They should hire some college grads or something and start cracking the whip. Someone aught to be able to write a decent script. And when the writers strike is over, they won't have a job to come back to.

Yup ... no 24 till next year.

Make sure you contact the writer's union and thank them for destroying this year's only real source of idiot box entertainment.  I hope all those associated with work in that industry that have been out of work, as well, can once again shake hands with the two sides after this is over.

Personally, I'd like to see the strike settled, then every gets fired, which in turn opens the door for a whole crapload of fresh talent.

I'm tired of the shit the networks are putting out, anyway!

How about an ARFCOM scripted episode of 24?
No nukes or chem bombs, just kick-ass gunplay.
