I'm renting the original series on DVD right now and I have a question about Optimus Prime... When he transforms from a semi-truck to a robot where does his trailer go? It's like one second it's there, the next second it's gone! And no one ever says "hey, where did Prime's trailer go?" or "Lemme go get your trailer for you Optimus." It's just fucking gone!

He never had on in the live action movie to begin with. In the cartoon it simply rolled out of screen and disappeared until he transformed back. Remember, this is the 80s and a 7 year old doesn't bother himself with those kinds of details, he just wants to see Optimus Prime kick Megatron's butt while (the kid) is eating a big bowl of Cheerios in the morning. |

The truck's trailer disconnects and transforms into the Combat Deck, a mobile battle-station/command headquarters with an "Auto-Launcher" robot armed with assorted artillery and beam weapons. It can also serve as a radio antenna for battlefield communications between the Autobots. The Combat Deck can launch Prime's third component, Roller, a mobile scout buggy that can easily slip behind enemy lines; when Roller is present somewhere, it is as if Prime is there himself. Injury to one component is felt by each of the others, and while Prime could survive the destruction of either, despite the slight degree of autonomy they possess, the Combat Deck and Roller would not be able to survive without him. He didn't, he turned into a Walkman. Blaster, the Autobot counterpart to Soundwave, turned into a boombox, or Ghetto-Blaster...hence the name.

good fucking question! I have the whole first generation on DVD, and I havnt seen anything about it other then the original trial episode trilogy in which it just stayed were it was... time to do research... I FOUND THE ANSWER!!!! HAX!!! |

Probably not. It would be a great nod to the original series if Omega and the Constructicons are in it because in the series they were great friends on Cybertron, until Megatron brainwashed them and they betrayed Omega. |
