I've got an X-Box 360 and like it quite a lot.  I play on a 27" non-HD TV and the selector switch is in the correct position.  The problem I have is that any text that is displayed in games (and there seems to be a LOT) is unreadable!!!   @#@@#$$

Is there some setting I can adjust to make the text larger?  Navigating the X-Box console is about the most confusing electronics experience I've ever had.

Nope, sorry.  The text is rendered as graphics in everything, from console to games.

They pretty much presume that the signal will be viewed on an HD set nowadays....

Time to upgrade?  (Best Buy has a smoking deal by my place for a $459 32" 720P LCD tv if you're interested...  I have a coupon that expires tomorrow at close of day for 10% off if you want it;  just IM me your email address and you can get the tv for $405 + tax!!)

I feel your pain, I am running a 19" TV, still.  I can't see much of any writing.  Still trying to talk the wife into a wall mount 40"+

It looks great on my buddy's 50" though.

Look into a projector. If you have a nice white wall, a projector that looks spiffy can be had fairly cheaply.

We use them at work (with our xbox 360) and they're fine.
