Is the economy down or up?

I've watched probably a total of 10hrs in the past few days.

From what the announcers are saying, most of the cars are going pretty cheap.  A lot of the cars on the block are selling for considerably less than it took to restore them from what the consigners claim.

All of the Shelby stuff is bringing top dollar however, as well as a few 50's concept cars.

They had the Boat from Miami Vice the movie, with a Hummer, and it was even posed with a few guns which appeared to be HK's.  It went for $500k after they sold it for the second time.

Did anyone see the slip when one of the owners of the "Robosaraus" or whatever it's called was discussing the machine during the auction, and quoting Dale Earnhardt as saying "cut that shit out"?

The look on the auctioneers and all the people at the podiums faces were like "damn dude!"

Then the SPEED guys apologized for the harsh language.

'Maybe' a bit soft but the deals are few and far apart.  Best deal I've seen was about a six year old Ferrari with virtually no miles that sold for about $130K.  Sticker new must have been about $240 K.

5sub

ALL IMHO of course.

ZR-1 just sold for 1MILLION DOLLARS...

That car is fine. and serial number 0001 too.

Jay says the Z-06 is the finest sports car in the world, and he's driven a few of the worlds bests cars. He says this car will kick all the others ass! He said ASS a number of times too, but hey he's Jay Leno.

I think there were quite a few good deals the first 2 days of the auction.  Today's cars are for the uber rich folks though.

They do save the best for last for the most part.
