I checked the box to block pop ups in firefox and it still continues to allow pop ups. I go to options again and the box is unchecked....what is going on?

Not sure, perhaps you aren't saving/applying? Apply, then save.
Also you may want to get FlashBlock. It's a great plugin, replaces all flash on a page with a blue "F" in a white circle. You click it if you want the flash to be loaded and run.

Download the Adblock extension add-on. You will have zero popups after that. Just make sure to download the right ruleset (US).

Mine never allows it. Did you put the website on the whitelist?
