I have a quick question about iTunes and its digital rights management (i.e. not being able to download a song and put it on multiple computers). I have $30 in iTunes gift cards and I want to go download some songs. Usually I just have my own PC and go on broadband and get the songs from there. However, currently I am stuck on dial-up and I have no desire to download songs on something so slow. I could go to my work computer (which has iTunes) and download the songs, but then they wouldn't play on my home computer. Is it possible to download them directly to my iPod from the work computer, then bring the iPod home and transfer them to my home computer and have them play successfully? |

Probably. You will need other software(free) to get them off the iPod, iTunes doesn't do that. eta: you will need to log on as you. I believe username gets added to the downloads. You can also burn the songs to CDs at work then rip them when you get home. You can then share the CD with others. ByteTheBullet (-: |
| You can authorize up to 5 computers for your iTunes account, so just set up both machines with the same account and they will both play your DRM protected music. Dont know about using an iPod to transfer files between computers, never tried it. If it doesnt work just burn CD's at work and re-rip at home. |
I'll just authorize the work computer then. That seems easy enough. |
