I'm thinking about investing in some electronic hearing protection for hunting. I don't like wearing ear muffs or ear plugs when hunting, but don't want to lose my hearing either. That being said, has anyone tried any of the numerous ones on the market? If so, what were your thoughts? I saw a set of Radians Prowl Ear electronic protection that is much lower profile than the standard earmuffs and supposedly reduces by 29 dB. Does anyone have any personal experience? If not, I may just opt to go with the earmuffs, though they are a pain to wear when walking around (they get hot and in the way). Thanks

I have the Model 6s (Tac 6s I believe). They're okay. I took them hunting with me a few times, they really make you feel like you have your head in a jar when you're in the dead silence of the woods. I had to take them off once I sat down because i'd start hearing every little noise in my area and think it was my buck coming. |
